Problem shape

Financial Tech and gaming commerce teams need partners to embed checkout, ads, and rewards without rebuilding payments. Shipping a separate SDK per platform without a shared core creates drift: different APIs, different bugs, and a maintenance tax that grows with every storefront.

The strategy assumed three pillars: elegance (simple SDKs), automate (AI for maintenance), and performance (low footprint on device).

Shared core, platform packs

One Core SDK holds shared logic and namespaces (ads, checkout, rewards, session validation). Platform packs for iOS, Android, and web import the core and expose idiomatic bindings. Storefront connectors sit above the core when a partner needs a plugin shape; the API always remains the fallback if a plugin is missing.

Backend contracts start from OpenAPI so clients, docs, and stubs can be generated instead of hand-synced. Webhook callbacks close the loop for payments and reward events.

AI for versions, not vibes

Once the initial SDKs exist, the expensive part is keeping them aligned. The plan used coding agents and workflow automation to propose version bumps, regenerate clients from OpenAPI, draft changelogs, and open reviewable PRs. Humans stay in the loop for public API breaks and security-sensitive paths.

That is different from “let AI write the SDK from scratch every time.” The source of truth is the shared core and the OpenAPI surface. Agents are the maintenance crew.

Delivery posture

Work assumed a two-person senior or staff team: large enough for review, small enough to avoid thrash. Milestones aimed at an MVP in the first stretch with buffer for polish. Iterative delivery preferred shipping a thin Core + one storefront pack over waiting for every platform to be perfect.

The same diagram that sells the architecture also becomes the ownership map: device packs, cloud APIs, webhook edge, and warehouse consumers each have a clear verify path.
